I need to identify what Version of Windows 7 is on a friends laptop

I am helping a friend with his laptop (Dell Inspiron 1750). The hard-drive is dead and I only have the Microsoft COA. It is Windows 7 Home Prem OA. Not sure if it is 32 bit or 64 bit so i can reload the new hard-drive and use the same COA. Thanks JLJE

The COA sticker should have the info on it. As far as I know a key can be used to activate EITHER 32 or 64 bit on one machine.

If RAM was upgraded more than 4gb you'd definitely want 64 bit. Otherwise you can try 64 bit, although I often install 32 bit on 4gb RAM or less to get better performance.
