I need more information about the Windows Media Center guide, and I see where others have been able to get into mcepg, and make changes however leading me to believe that some day I might be able to do this on my very own. In figuring this out, I am looking at developer info but a logical step one seems like finding out exactly what Win 7 home premium, ult. and Pro used for database applications. I understand that it is probably a SQL database but i am sure that nothing like sql server comes bundled with any of these editions of windows.

So my question is what application does windows 7 use to build/update/query its internal databases, and how can I use that application to change the guide data located inside of mcepg?

Thanks.

Thanks for the help but I am already aware of LoadMXF.exe but its abilities are limited, and it is only meant for third parties to load guide data into the guide database. I am looking to view the DB more in the context of how I would view any other database. I need to see what tables are inside of it, and the best way I know how to do this is by loading it up in a database viewing program. The windows internal database looked promising but I'm not sure that it is a part of consumer desktop versions of Windows. How can I verify the embeded database exists on my machines? Even if it did, it would be separate from my mecpg database but if I can use the same software to veiw both, then that would be helpful.
