I want a different name to show up across the network (WIN10)

When I open a shared file over the network on this particular PC, then another PC attempts to access it, it gives the message that it's already opened by "name". That person no longer works here. So when a file is double accessed I want it to say it's open by the correct name. I tried renaming the PC in the settings menu (under about) without luck. When I go into the settings / accounts the administrator name doesn't match what shows up over the network either.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

(hopefully that made sense)

I am not having much luck obviously. I tried on reddit networking also. I am starting to wonder if it had something to do with Microsoft Office somehow? This has been frustrating.
