Hi there. I am just wondering about my notebook laptop which is an Acer Aspire 5733z model. And this is a really new model as well that just came out I believe this March. Now I am just wondering if my notebook as Wake-On-Lan on it. Because I cannot seem to find it in my Bios settings. And I do not even have a Power Management settings tab in my Bios either. So can you please help me out here on this as soon as possible for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. That's all I can say.

And also, I am trying to see if there is a bios update available for my Acer Aspire 5733z model. I was actually chatting to Acer earlier, and they gave me a link to update my Bios. But I believe that I upgraded my bios already to the latest version, which I believe was version 1.07. But I still cannot find the Wake-on-Lan option in my bios at all! I am in an awful situation right now, because I cannot seem to find my Wake on Lan option in my bios settings. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

But I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings, and all of the options seem to be there like for example, "Allow This Device to Wake the Computer." And there were other options here as well. My Acer Aspire 5733z model has Broadcom Net Link Ethernet. So all I am asking here is please help me out here as soon as possible. For my computer, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. So there you have it! Well anyway, so please get back to me as soon as you possibly can on this issue for me. Because it is very important, and urgent as well. So thank you very much!

Hello jrdngreenberg3 and welcome to Seven Forums.

According to the Acer download link below, the latest BIOS version for your machine is 1.07. You can double check that by selecting notebook > Aspire > 5733z and then clicking the BIOS tab.

There seems to be quite a few theads on this forum concerning wake-on-lan problems. Perhaps one of those other theads will offer you a solution. Also, have you checked your power plan settings?
