Hi all,

I have a problem with my sister's computer, which used to be mine like 5 years ago.
DualCore Intel Pentium E2140, 1600 MHz, Gigabyte P4M900. 2,5 GB ram DDR2.
I had screen resolution problems with a new monitor last year and a BIOS update fixed it right way, so it's updated.

Fresh install of Win7 Ultimate x64, 4 days ago.
As soon as I open IE 10 it crashes right away, no matter if the home page is set up or it's blank. And it will reopen and crash again in an endless loop until I close it.
I read somewhere that it might be a problem with memory, and I kinda suspected that because I had some BSODs back then with WinXP. I ran Memtest86+ for 16 hours, 14 passes, and no errors were found.
I even tried using just one of the memory modules (one is 2gb and other 512mb), and swapping the slots. Same error.

I'm guessing some hardware issue or driver conflict? I really don't know.
This is the same exact system I installed in my mom's PC 2 weeks ago and also mine like a year ago and we have the same apps and it's alright.
My sister's PC barely has apps installed, just avast! antivirus, MS Office 2010, Adobe Reader and Java; nothing else.

This is the event log:

Does anyone have any suggestion? I don't know what I could try.
Thanks a lot.

Can't help much without the dump(s). This should be posted in the BSOD thread.

The error code 0x2 (DEVICE_QUEUE_NOT_BUSY) is usually associated with incompatible hardware or drivers. It will sometimes show up when users install outdated drivers to support old hardware or try to use new drivers for old hardware. Was there any new hardware installed?

Also, Un-install Java unless there's a need for it. And it doesn't appear that the PC needs it with the noted software. Java is full of malware holes. You might have her update the AV and run a full scan too.

Hi, thanks for replying.

I wasn't sure where to post it, I didn't choose BSOD because there are no bluescreens involved in this particular thing.

No new hardware installed. I know for sure 100% there are no viruses in this system. Anyway, it was fresh installed 4 days ago.

Drivers should be fine, downloaded them from the Gigabyte site.

Snooped around and:

One person said, "Finally, I set the .exe file properties to "Run as Administrator" and wallah - everything runs great!"

Worth a try...

But also, might consider swapping out that kernalbase.dll, for a known good one found here:

kernelbase.dll free download - DLL-files.com

Rename current one to like kernalBADbase.dll first, assuming it's not active and even let's you, otherwise need to swap via command prompt mode or use a tool to deactivate it.

I too would advise backtracking on anything done, including drivers, right before crash happened.

Thank you man :)
Apparently it had something to do with that. I also solved it by unchecking the box to use GPU rendering in the advanced tab.
