IE10 Not Responding

Hi,

I am hoping to cut a very long story short!

I did a windows update and ever since then my Internet Explorer and Google Chrome has been giving me the 'Not Responding' error. I have via Turn Windows features on and off managed to uninstall Internet Explorer 10 and managed to download Google Chrome, however it's not a proper install.

I have installed IE10 again via the Turn windows features on and off programe and what I am trying to do just now is install Internet Explorer 11, however I keep getting the error 'Internet Explorer did not finish installing'.

When I try and open IE10, I get a blank white page and then it comes us Not Responding and closes down.

Internet Explorer (No Add Ons) is doing the same thing as IE10. I have also tried to go into Internet Explorer Performance under Troubleshoot, but it's not there.

Once I have managed to successfully download IE, I will then uninstall Google Chrome and install it properly.


Any help with this would be much appreciated.

I don't see how an update would cause this,
But none the less
Use Clean boot,

Click Start and type in the search box,
msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
Repeat the screen shots,

Hi Thrashzone,

I had already done the clean startup process and it didn't work, so I tried it again and IE wouldn't open, so changed back to normal start up, tried to install IE11 and this time it actaually worked, however IE11 is still giving me the white blank screen and the Not Responding message then closing.

I just can't think what is making this happen.

Hi,
Well you have 2 antivirus programs on 1 machine,
Avast and AVG ?
I'd get rid of AVG properly and reset ie
Download tools and utilities | AVG Worldwide

I uninstalled AVG and I am now browsing on IE11.
