I've search for this and nothing shows. I search for Firefox and that only shows
https://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/386884-latest-firefox-released-windows-14.html
I'm very surprised no one hasn't posted this problem.
I only use Firefox as a backup browser as IE11 the features and options are always perfect.
I've use Firefox for many years on both of my computers.
I recently had to fit a new hard drive. I've installed all the missing software. Firefox 62.0 Beta 20 as I used last time. I use Avast Pro anti-virus I shouldn't have the software update enabled. It showed 3 things today.
Firefox 64.0.2, Java Runtime Environment 8.0 and VLC Media Player 3.0.6 (32-bit)
I never use Avast to download and install I search FileHippo for these files.
Even Firefox 62.0 Beta 20 was a pain in the backside to import favorites. The older version there was a link to import IE favorites. That imported all of them but not in any folders, all in bookmarks.
If you open Fire Help and type in Import IE 11 Favorites into Firefox. It shows the procedure but it doesn't work.
Open Firefox on the computer that you want to put the Favorites on and then:
Tip: It would be a good idea to backup your bookmarks before importing. To do so go to Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
Click the Library button 57 library icon (3rd icon books top right), then click Bookmarks. Scroll to the bottom and click Show all Bookmarks.
From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and choose Import Bookmarks from HTML....
There is no Import and Backup option
In the Import Bookmarks File window that opens, navigate to the bookmarks HTML file you are importing and select the file.
Click the Open button. The Import Bookmarks File window will close.
Close the Library window.
Your Internet Explorer Favorites will be added to your Firefox bookmarks within the Bookmarks Menu directory.
You can Google this problem and there say export all IE favorites as HTML then import them into Firefox. That is a very slow process with 1,464 url links.
I've uninstalled 62.0 Beta 20 and installed Firefox 62.0 Beta 20 it would run straight off because Mozilla Maintenance Service wasn't running.
Today I spend most of the afternoon installing 107 Windows updates. That's another long story.
I don't really want to do a system restore as I will have to download them all again.
If any one has a simple solution to import IE 11 favorites into Firefox that will be much appreciated.
