Increase font size in secondary windows

I need larger fonts in every window and Microsoft program.

I have the display set to medium. I hesitate to go to Large because I don't need anything but fonts to be larger.
Under Control Panel > Personalization > I click on Window Color to go to Advanced Appearance Settings

I've already increased every available option to 18 pt font. For instance, Active Title Bar is set to 18pt font and I can see these fonts just fine.

However, just looking at this window (the Advanced Appearance Settings window) the "tab" that reads Window Color and Appearance, has a very small font.
Another few examples:
I'm in Excel 2010. The font across the ribbon is fine. The zoom is set high enough in the worksheet. But when I click on Sort & Filter, then Custom Sort, the window that pops up is displayed back in small fonts so I can't read the choices.
Also in Excel 2010, I choose the Paste Special window and the options displayed in this window are of small font too.
In Word 2010, I click on the Page Setup window and the fonts are small.
I clock on My Computer and the fonts around various drives listed certainly aren't set to 18.
In Control Panel the various fonts for each option are definitely not at 18pt.
The date and time in the bottom right-hand corner are very tiny.
The words description each icon on my desktop are small.

I have a 32" high definition monitor with resolution set to 1920 x 1080 because that is the recommended setting for high res.

What do I have to do to get these fonts in the alternative/secondary windows to get larger, but not affect icons or graphics or window sizes?

Welcome to Seven Forums msdclark. As far as I am aware, there is no way to change just the font size universally. You already have done the suggested method. The overall displays are most affected by the screen resolution, and DPI (which affects everything, as you have seen. You can change font sizes in Office apps, if that helps

Change or set the default font - Word

You can increase everything, then use the Ctrl keyboard button and the mouse wheel to decrease icon size. It's not what you seek, but you'll have to find workarounds. A Guy
