Installing numerous PCs from a master build - Is this possible

I am re-reading this thread for focus.
One thing I noted.

There are missing posts, they are just no longer there.

I came on strong saying I didn't not have a 100mb partition.
This was in response to two missing posts first telling me that I
had to have a 100mb partition, then telling me I had to have
one and it must be hidden. My boot manager shows me ALL
my partitionbs so I can organize them.

I'm just saying that if you read the thread from the beginning
you could easily not see the whole, full picture, and become
mislead.

Another missing post is where someone gave me 4 very good
links to check out. IF this poster COULD re-post these links
I would be greatful.

On another note I sold 9 PCs today with the two customers
agreeing to wait on my new master system build which I had
demoed to them.

It's late, I will finish re-reading the thread tomorrow.

I posted earlier that I didn't think you were trying to do anything wrong with the licenses.

Just make sure each install you set up has the correct retail license.

Builder's OEM is ideal for what you want to do if you are building the machine and expect to provide the support. Affix the COA sticker to each machine you build.

Ultimately, the licenses you choose are dependant on what they will be used for. If you're helping users fix their existing machines, you technically shouldn't need licenses if their computers come preinstalled with Windows 7, and these users should have a recovery partition or recovery media you can use to reinstall or repair their machines.

If, however, you're building your own machines to sell to your customers, or if you're upgrading people's machines from another version of Windows to Windows 7, then you can either purchase an OEM Windows 7 license or a retail Windows 7 license for the version of Windows you want to install.

In all scenarios, though, you need to know the caveats between an OEM and retail license - if you purchase and install an OEM license, *you* become the person responsible for all break/fix support with that installation of Windows (it's the reason OEM licenses are much cheaper than their retail counterparts). If you purchase a retail license, Microsoft retains responsibility for the break/fix support of that Windows installation (note that Microsoft still provides hotfixes and updates regardless of whether or not you supply OEM or retail licenses, this does not change - only break/fix support responsibilities are affected).

Here is one way.

Download a DOS bootable CDDVD.

Go to TeraByteUnlimited.

Get the free partition and disk analyzers and then run them under DOS.
More information than you will ever need, seperately by each partition.

He (terabyte) also has a discussion somewhere about possibly removing
the 100mb partition if you see you have one.

There are probably dozens of ways to do this.
Very likely there is a LINUX bootable CD this way as well.

40 different environments, wow. I'll look for your blog.

Builders OEM ok. If I am OEM and I get an MSI mobo and they help too that should work.
Samsung has excellent support too as I said once before.

And to say this again my only defination of cloning/imaging previously was
what a previous post called GHOST SECTOR BASED CLONING.

I'm sure this didn't help things.
