Solved Installing Visual Studio 2015, KB2999226

Hi! I tried installing Mircrosoft Visual Studio 2015 on my PC. It seemed to stuck at acquiring updates (Update for Microsoft Windows KB2999226). I waited for 6 hours and still, there seems no progress at all. It shows the loading screen but the loading bar doesn't fill up (even an inch). Any solution for this? Thanks in advance!

You can download the update directly from Microsoft here:

Access Denied

And then install it manually, before installing VS 2015. That may help it get over the glitch you're having.

(I don't know why the link says "access denied." The link works for me. )

I found the solution by an in-dept search of KBs in Microsoft Website. It's been a while since I last updated my computer. Maybe the last time that I updated it took so long and was caught in a power interruption. Anyways, after the step three in the link, I stopped Windows Update service (using command prompt with the command 'net stop wuauserv'), then proceed to step 4. Everything works fine now! Thank you!
