Introducing Windows 11

That's hilarious. They are trying to make it look like a mac. I agree with @F22 Simpilot. They won't drop the telemetry and it wouldn't surprise me if they make it worse. I thought that they purported that 10 would be the last version. That they would just keep changing it to suite them.
The telemetry can be shut down, it's easy to do. That's on a PC running 10 I am going to try it on 11 soon.

Really it isn't just the telemetry and I know if can be turned off but I don't care. I don't like it. Period.

Since I already paid my share for W10 LTSC with my former co-workers, I'm a little miffed, but a new pool is forming for the VL, so I might as well "deal myself in" to get a copy and jump to 11 and skip 10 entirely, since I'm probably going to get the same headaches. Wait: they just emailed me, I can forward some of that for 11. All is not lost, just another learning curve!

I Think Windows 11 is terrible. Worser than Windows 10 with the 60-70GB Storage Requeriments.

I saw that they aren't compiling a 32-bit version anymore but only 64-bit. They've done that on the server side since 2008 r2 so I was wondering when would do the same thing on workstations and laptops. With most laptops/desktops having a 64-bit processor and 4+ gb of ram I suppose 32-bit isn't very useful anymore. I personally haven't used a 32-bit version of Windows since I lost the desktop I built in 2012-2013 that had Vista & XP on it.

Yeah, and a 64 bit OS is safer as well. One day we may see 128. Maybe not. LOL operating systems - What does the 'bit' mean in an OS - Super User

Not likely. You won’t live to see a 128bit CPU! - Cloudware Blog If we do it'll likely be in the supercomputer world first and then mainframes/very high end servers. Some super computers such as IBM Watson are already in the terabytes of ram but that's still no where near the address limitation of 64-bit. Mac OS is already only 64-bit and practically all the the common ones have it. Windows 2019 is the fifth Windows OS version that's 64-bit only. I suppose that they don't think that it's worth the overhead of compiling and updating it if no one is using it.

I know this post is a couple weeks old and this is Windows 7 forums. But I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who dislikes 11. To me it's full of change for the sake of change. As far as adding Mac elements that makes me laugh but not in a funny way. Windows 8 & 10 they added Chrome OS look and feel. Microsoft understands that it wasn't well-received so now they're adding Macintosh. The best way I can say this, "Earth to Microsoft we want Windows to be Windows." When they Tout one of the great things about Windows 11 is rounded corners. Lol perhaps 12 Microsoft will get it right
