Ipod Touch.

Is there a free software out there that will transfer my Ipod music to my PC? There's plenty of software that cost $20 or more, but I don't want to spend money on something that should have been a feature in iTunes to begin with.

I thought it was automatically done cause everytime I download a new App via WiFi, it syncs onto itunes on my PC. However, I've never tried with a song. If you bought the music from Itunes store, you just have to authorize you computer to your Itunes account. If not, this link gives you a free way.

Yes that I know. If you bought it from iTunes than you can move or copy it I should say. However music from any other source that you loaded on the ipod will not transfer over. So if I ripped albums I bought on cd to itunes and load to my Ipod they won't transfer over back to my pc. The sync is only one way. But there is pay for software that will allow you to do this for the Ipod touch. I know there is a way for the standard Ipods, but the touch is different and there isn't a way to do it without some 3rd party software. I downloaded a couple programs that can, but they are trial versions and limit the amount of songs you can transfer. That's why I'm looking for a free one that can do the job.

Thanks, I'll check out Yamipod. Copytrans isn't free. I downloaded a trial of Copytrans and it limited the amount of songs I could transfer from my Ipod. Wait Yamipod doesn't support Ipod Touch. Well I guess I'll have to plunk $20 when I get job.

yeah, apple should have just made the ipod touch like a usb pendrive that can be browsed... :huh:

Could you not do it manually, its a long ol job and i know this covers for XP but you can do similar in windows 7.

This will allow you to copy all the music off your iPod touch into iTunes. I believe it requires some manual labor, but it is free with no limits. iPhone Explorer - A USB iPhone browser for Mac and PC

Thanks a bunch. This one worked. I made few mistakes, but it got the job done. The mistakes were when I was using media monkey and thought there were too many duplicates when in reality they were different files with the same name. So I accidentally deleted some of my album songs. That was my own fault though.

You tried SharePod? I used that a while ago for my touch - worked like a charm and can import straight to iTunes
