is GTS 450 compatible with Dell Optiplex 780

can u suggest any nvidia graphics card ?

*I don't have plans on changing or replacing my PSU and computer case :)

You will face the same problem. The OEM power supply does not have the power connector for the video card, so changing to nVidia will not change that. Sorry.

Edit: Changing the power suppy is easy, and the modification is simple, I just wanted to you be aware of it before you buy. :)

The power supply is the problem. Only 255W in the desk top version. The GTS450 needs one 6 pin power cable and it is very unlikely your PSU has one.

Also, Dell PSUs are not the best from my experience. They usually are quite low wattage and unsuitable for much in the way of upgrades. I'm not sure of this is still true or not, but I know with the Optiplex GX280, if you change either the motherboard or PSU, you have to change both because Dell mobo + non-Dell PSU or vice versa can ruin both parts. Frankly, I do not trust Dell.
