No. It is just does not have some software for countries with laws that do not allow bundled software which you could get alternatives for like Korea. The difference of K (Korea) and N (Others) is that there is a link in IE for K for alternatives of Live Messenger and Media Player.

Yes the Ulitmate N is without the Windows Media Software bundle. Some games don't run with it so I had to install it. I actually live in the US, bought this because it was on sale
