Is There A Music Program That Rivals Musicmatch Jukebox?

I liked MMJB, and bought the lifetime upgrade. In fact, I still have an installer for it around here somewhere. I think the closest thing out there to it, right now, would be Songbird...which is basically Firefox for music.

Of course, these days, I just use WMP...don't need all the fancy skins and whatnot, and I do all my mp3 tagging myself.

I used to love MMJ. I forget exactly when it happened but I do remember that it got unusable no matter what I tried. Now, like you, I just use WMP. More often than not I have it minimized when listening to music so no need for fancy skins/visualizations.

WMP kind of sucks though...if you mean Windows Media Player. MMJ can sound so much more crisp with the equalizer turning almost any old speakers into high quality speakers (makes it seems as if) probably since MMJ was really meant for music as opposed to WMP which does not specialize in music and sound.

MMJ only started to become unstable for me after I force-installed it on Vista (chose option "install anyway") it started working well for a while. All of a sudden...it wouldn't play anything...

Gonna try out Foobar, Media Monkey and definitely Quux in the future. Just please tell me if those 3 have any compatibility issues with Win 7.

Oh yeah,, I am talking ever since it first came around.
I can't remember everything or give details, but all I know is, we uninstalled it like the plague it soon turned out to be.
That says it all the truth is you never used it so why make such rash comments . .It was and still is one of the best music programs, It has so many advantages of over other music programs even though its more than 10 years old
I guess there are many people like me who would willingly pay a premium price if such a program was available today ( still use it most days via XP )

And this thread is five years old. At least one of the posters in this thread is dead as well.
Time to move on, methinks.
