Is there an AIO (All in One) Slipstream USB installation with updates

I had to do a fresh Windows install. Windows update is so annoying and Microsoft have botched things up and many times the installation fails because Windows is either to stupid to know the order of installation or there's bad coding involved in the update.

What I'm looking for is a complete Windows 7 Pro setup including all the Windows Update to date. I imagine there must be a few good ISOs somewhere we can download without any fuss or effort?

There are lots of different options. The easiest way is to use either wkeller or SIW2 's upgrade tools to update your existing w7 media. Or you can download a win7 sp1 iso from various sites. This will give you a fully updated ISO, to Dec 2020, & also integrate lots of helpful drivers.

The process is very simple, practically fully automated & doesn't take very long at all. I'm so grateful to these contributor's for the amazing work they do. Microsoft should have them on their payroll!

All the instructions & information is in their sticky's at the top of this forum.

Also, if you just want to update a live system, the Simplix UpdatePack is the best way to do that. Just google to get a download link.

I've tested all 3 methods & not had any problems at all. It still blows my mind that a process which used to give me nightmares (windows update) is now so easy & painless. Truly amazing!

While I appreciate your reply, it’s not helpful to me. There's too many sophists posting online one has no choice but to be sceptical especially with vague or cryptic responses.

Before posting I searched here and elsewhere. When I post something especially here it's always a last resort. Without actual verifiable links like where on earth i can download Windows 7 with all the updates to date are non meaningful.

I agree with you though how some of the people here deserve to be paid by Microsoft. At the same time, some of the recommendations require a lot of meticulous effort and there's lots of room for error. Anyone can make things complicated. It takes someone wise to simplify things.

Simplix is a single file with all the updates without the spying, tracking and trash. Very good. Once you install Win 7 SP1 (32 or 64 Bits), disable WU and run Simplix.
You can integrate Simplix on the Win 7 SP1 files using SIW2 script. I don't recommend:
- The installation file will be huge.
- Simplix is updated every month

That's not really an answer it's an excuse.

The solution I propose:

1. Create a Youtube video with detailed instructions and go through all the steps so people know how long this takes. The video would need to be updated, I think. Detailed illustrations would work too or

2. Link a Slipstream iso or image file from someone who is reputable. I am sure someone wouldn't mind donating their time and send the link to a mod who has a virtual machine or test system. But then again, we're moving to an incredibly selfish and complicated world now.

BTW, I don't need it. I already made a Win 7 installation USB drive with all versions and some drivers needed to my MB. I install Simplix after installation.

Download Windows 7 SP1 ISO ( 32bit / 64bit ) – Techverse

You can get original files from there & integrate SP1 yourself. There's also links to Softpedia with combined w7/sp1 isos if that's too much hassle for you.

Personally, I used NTLite (which is free & easy to use) to integrate sp1 into an original MS Win7 iso.

Once you have that, there are lots of ways to update it.
You can use NTLite (you'll need to patch install.wim with BypassESU if you want to integrate the most up to date updates.)
Or use wkeller or SIW2 methods, which will do all the hard work for you.

There are many reputable sites which still provide original win7 isos or combined win7/sp1.
It's best just to google & pick the site you trust the most.

appreciate sharing the link /iso name. actually, I'm looking for all in one installation iso, which is a challenge. (at least 4me). is there anything that can do with ei.cfg, to make, say, win7 ultimate (from Tech verse) 'transform' into all-in-one installation? the reason I'm asking is, I've a netbook where I'd prefer starter/home basic, another decently configured laptop where I can have home premium & a desktop where I can put ultimate / professional. hence the request for aio...

either point this at the iso View attachment eicfg_removal_utility.zip


or

extract the iso to usb and delete the sources\ei.cfg file



then setup will offer all editions
