Hello,

Posted the following to the Software Forum, but haven't received any replies, so
let me try here, please.

Sr. Citizen now (very), and this "stuff" sure isn't getting any easier.

a. Updated to the latest Java version.
Big mistake. Can't imagine how they would release a program like this. Driving me crazy.

Many links and sites that I never had any problem with now will not open.

Message(s) keep appearing that Java blocked it because of some kind of security concern.
Why ?

If anyone is familiar with Java, I'm not, how do I get it to accept "everything" again, like it always has.

How can I disable this nonsense ? I'll take my chances, as I know that all of these blocked sites are just fine. Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.

I would like to do something "Globally," so I don't have to enter each site individually in what I think is an Exceptions List that you can use that they have (but not sure) ?

b. How badly do I "probably" need Java ? What is it used for ?
If I delete all of Java, what would I not be able to do ?

Much thanks, really appreciate the help,
Bob

I had This problem before, And I know the Solution. Go to Your Start, Search Java(Or Click All programs) And find the Java folder Click Configure Java. Click the Security Tab And Slide The Thing To medium And click accept.

One Thing You Can Also Do is Add The Site To your Exceptions List By clicking Edit Site List.
