Ok so I just secure erased a Samsung Evo 840 so I can sell it.
Obviously the person buying is going to want proof it is a good, working drive.
So without installing an OS on it, how do I hook it up/verify that the drive is in working order so I can take a screen shot as proof for the perspective buyer?
Do I have to hook it up along with my main OS and then am I able to check the drive inside of Samsung Magician?
If you attach the drive to one of your SATA ports Windows will pick it up, you can take a shot of Disk Management, chkdsk results and I presume Samsung Magician results. I do own a Samsung SSD but I've never used Samsung Magician so I can't say for definite either way. If the disk has been secure erased it may need initialising when it's connected.
