It seems that MS made a major screw up, as they have apparently removed all this month's updates, for all versions of Windows.

This just goes to prove that bundling all that months patches into one patch is a bad idea.
Now we have to wait another full month for vulnerabilities to be fixed.

Not exactly giving people much confidence in MS new and "improved" update model!

I first lost confidence in MS when Win 8 came out and it has been plummeting ever since. In my eyes, this latest fiasco is but another nail in MS' already well sealed coffin.

From Callender's link, Source: No February 2017 Patch Tuesday Concerns about SMB connections and Flash. I checked all three of my machines for SMB connections the two win10's have none and it is an invalid cmd on the win7 box.

• To check: Open an elevated PowerShell [PS] window, type: Get-SmbConnection, touch enter; You'll either see the connection listing or PS will go back to a blank prompt, that to me means I don't have any.

Adobe says it is possible to manually update Edge's flash but you have to jump through several hoops, one of which is uninstalling the present install: https://Guide to Manually updating Flash Player for Windows

After reading this:

Some notes regarding Windows 8 and upward to Windows 10:

Starting in Windows 8 the Adobe Flash player ( ActiveX aka ) is integrated into the Operating system, and there are NO TOOLS ON THIS SITE THAT WILL UNINSTALL OR INSTALL THEM! That would be for the EDGE Browser as well as Internet Explorer. You will have to grab all your updates through Windows updates; Yes You/We are at the mercy of waiting for Microsoft to spin out up update for the Operating system. Their Integration in EDGE does not appear to be as smooth as Google Chrome's implementation of flash player, and I believe that it is turned off ( a mistake IMO; they might have changed that ).

All you can do is turn it off in Edge.

For now I've turned flash off in Edge on both win10 machines and the win7 box is up-to-date, IE11, FF51.0.1 - v24.0.0.221
