Is it possible to change your system/hardware (network card) mac? all hardware come with its own unique mac but I was just wondering whether or not its possible to change it without causing a problem? also if not, what network card would people recommend.. no wireless added feature needed, just a stand alone ethernet card.

Its possible of course but mostly its used to sniff other peoples' connections. What is your reason for wanting to change your mac address?

Too many to describe...
OS
Windows 7 x64 pro/ Windows 7 x86 Pro/ XP SP3 x86
thats exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I've got a new setup on its way and I'm wondering whether or not changing my system mac/network card would be a good idea, (new macs all around). Your probably thinking why do I need to change it... long story short, someone in the area likes doing what you've suggested in your reply and I have a feeling mine may of been targeted, my ISP has issued new hardware so theres a good chance my setup has been targeted. anyway, as said above... with new macs all around, could it stop this from happening again? wireless setup is disabled and I don't intend to broadcast.
