Better start a new thread, after all the help and downloads over the last week the laptop went black and stayed that way for hours.
All I can get up is System Recovery Options which said a recent change might be the problem, and it has been trying to restore for hours!
At times it shows a completely white screen, haven't seen the blue screen of death yet. The 'start up repair' won't work, it won't restart, cmd prompts work but I'm not sure which commands to use, or if any would work.
I have my win7 installation disc and a week old back up dvd if all else fails.
Any ideas?
