Laptop won't boot at all.

**Couldn't decide where to put this, move if need be**​

Okay. On the PC in my specs, it was working perfectly. Running W7 Ultimate, and shut it down, no problem. So, today, I come to turn it on, and nothing. I press the power button, the computer starts turning on, fans start running, then it powers off. I'm thinking, no biggie, it probably needs charging, so I plug it on, power it on, and does the same thing. I wait a few hours, take the battery out, leave it out, put it back in, and try to power on. Same thing. The computer was running fine, so I have no clue what the problem is. I can't even get to the BIOS. It literally starts turning on, then turns off. I have no idea what to do. I have no problem taking the computer apart, etc. And no updates had been installed prior to to shut it down the last time it was working properly.

There is no easy solution to this problem.

You can first try two comparatively easy procedures.

1. Change your CMOS battery. ( If you cannot change, take it to a professional and ask him to change it.)

If your lappy still turns off,

2. If you have two memory sticks,check with one memory stick at a time.

Tried running it without battery.

I got one old China Lappy (Axioo) had exactly the same symptom as yours. The local PC service told me that the Mainboard is dead and need a replacement that cost equal to USD180. I gave it up.

But hoping yours can be something else.

HI Darren.

If the battery of the your laptop is not in a good condition, sometimes booting problems might happen. To remove any static charges accumulated in the battery, you would have to remove the battery and press the Power button for about 25-35 seconds. Then reset the battery. Now, plug the power supply back in, and without installing the battery, press the power button and see if it boots.

Having problems getting the RAM out. I've unscrewed all the screws on back of the laptop, but a few won't come out. They appear to be screwing out, but after screwing for about a minute on each screw, they still won't come out. Any help?

Clearly you have a hardware problem. More then likely the motherboard has failed in some way. If it is still in warranty have it fixed by the manufacturer. If not in warranty then you can have it fixed at your expense.

Warranty is long gone..... Okay, I've gotten a few more screws out, but still a few pesky ones.

How come? Most laptop have separated memory cover with only two screws, and the memory only need to be pulled by sliding out two tiny side lock.

That cover is similar to my HP, I thought the screws weren't unscrewing, it just has little side tabs that hold it down, so you have to pry them up gently.

Yes. Derek is right.
OK if you managed unscrew them all you can do it. Just be cautious to not putting much exertion, using you thumb nail will also helps. Some need to add a slide down move.

Sorry, I see it is different from the picture and manual online I got. Ignore it!

Took it to a computer shop.... they said it's the mobo. This computer can hit the trash, it sucked anyway. I mean come on, a Celeron 900? Dad said he'll get me a Toshiba A8 laptop next week, so I'm good. I'll use this Core 2 Duo for the next week, then I'll have a good laptop, so thanks guys.
