Solved Last update, Configuring stuck @ 30%

Let it sit there for 5 hours, configuring updates stuck @ 30%. As a result can't get into W7 to look around or revert. Suggestions??

Try a system restore by booting your installation/recovery media.

Tried last backup (macrium) from immediately after last update, and it will not boot. This might be self inflicted?? After last update and restart things appeared to have been fine, checked a few things, created an image etc and shut it down for the day. The next morning upon starting is when the configuring updates started and hung @ 30%. I am guessing that the install was in fact not "finished" even though the restart after completion had no further interaction??? I am now in the process of going back to June 19 for that image restoration. Fingers crossed. Tx

I believe that I now have W7 back to where it was before this problem. 3 month old image restored and instead of installing all the updates at once, did them one by one in case one was causing the problem. All finally went in without issue.
