At the moment I'm using chrome to save my passwords,Now if I decide to install Lastpass and export the passwords from chrome to Lastpass will I have to delete the password that chrome has saved and if yes how do I delete them from chrome Please.

After saving a website's username and password, LastPass will autofill the login when you return to that site. No thought, no typing, no work required - LastPass does it for you.

Sorry to get back to you,I'm puzzled here I did not log into the LastPass this morning so the icon was a black with a silver star in the centre.
I was under the impression that I could not access my sites while not logged in,So went to the bookmark of this forum and got into it as before with the icon still black as I haven't logged in and all passwords were deleted from chrome.
Can someone please explain that to me,I thought once that I was logged out there were no access to any sites so how can I select a site from my chrome bookmark and straight into a site.
Any help PLEASE.
Many Thanks.

What is happening is the site is saving the info in a chrome cookie. Most sites will do that if the check box next to login that says "remember me" or "log me in automatically" is checked. The easiesr way is to set chrome to save cookies for session only. Or you can periodically delete cookies using CCleaner or similar utility.

What I do is have forum logins in LastPass and/or browser cookies. Sensitive stuff like online banking I never allow auto login. I use Keepass to make sure I don't forget important passwords. That also has the benefit they are not stored online. You can put Keepass portable on a USB stick and take it with you.

Remember LastPass does not have your vault password. If you forget it you are out of luck.

That's what Keepass is for. Of course if you forget your Keepass master password, well...
