Leadtek WinFast TV 2000 XP (Deluxe), Windows 7 Pro 64 B

Hi there

Not an answer to the thread - but these days with fast broadband and digital TV available online is it worth even THINKING about a dedicated TV tuner card any more in a computer. This type of hardware - like cassette tapes is definitely in the "Dinosaur Technology" realm.

I know that the quality from some HD streams is far superior to any old TV card out there - especially when viewing on a FULL 1080p monitor.

I took my old VCR to the tip last week -- couldn't even GIVE it away. !!!

The quality of the video compared with modern HD - it's not worth even talking about it. I did keep a few old classic movies for archive but I'm sure someone will re-master these again with better resolution sometime in the future.

Cheers
jimbo

Hi everybody,

Sorry for not getting back to everybody and I do know that it has been a while.

If you are still struggling, as I have said many time before here, uninstall everything and start again from scratch.

There is no need to modify any files and the one I have mentioned are the ones I have tested and are all working.

As for the Command Prompt lines, just copy & paste, all that is needed.

For those who have managed to get it working, I have great news!!!!

Not only does it still work in Windows 8 & 8.1, but I am currently still watching my old card on Windows 10 Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy! So the old drivers are still good and everything still works!

More life for the old Leadtek TV cards!

Yes, I still sit and watch TV on my one screen, while working on the other...

But good luck in trying to find any form of TV card for PC's now!

My only regret now is a future upgrade of my PC...
I won't be able to plug the card in anymore.
Lucky for me, I won't need an upgrade for a while still...

Anyways.

When in doubt, RTFM!!!!!!!

Happy days guys and girls!
