Hello friends. First post here. But it looks like a great forum, with lots of helpful people. So, so far, I really like Windows 7. I think it's fast, pretty, and all in all, well done. I have very few problems so far. And this is the only one I haven't been able to fix so far. When I open the explorer, the below pic is what I see. You'll notice I've circled the problem/s in black. I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be icons there. What do you guys think? If I check the properties, they are "not available." I noticed that if I browse to the libraries, say in Wordpad, they display correctly. I haven't a clue how to fix this. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Hello Shawn, and thank you for the warm welcome. Unfortunately, I have tried the Restore Default Libraries option. I figured that would do it too, but it did nothing. I searched through the registry, but found nothing pertinent (I think, but I'm not the best). I know this probably isn't even a big deal, but I'm a little obsessive.
Did you install something to remove the "Send Feedback" etc. features of the beta. If so, that may have corrupted the libraries' icons or conflicting with them. Perhaps try restoring back.

Thanks guys. That is probably going to be what I have to do. Does this work the same as it did in Vista, or am I going to have to reinstall all the software I've added?
EDIT: Check that. In a moment of n00bness, I don't have system restore enabled. That should make this interesting! :/
EDIT II: SOLVED! When you guys mentioned the "feedback" issue, it made me think. So I went back, and checked the patch. And sure enough, it was bad. So I unpatched it, rebooted and restored the libraries. It worked! Yeah! If it reverts, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks guys!
