LibreOffice to completely drop support for Windows 7

As part of this update, the team removed support for older platforms. Starting with LibreOffice 25.8, the free office suite will no longer work on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 . Users of these legacy operating systems have options to go with LibreOffice 25.2 or 24.8, but not a newer version.

LibreOffice 25.8 will completely drop support for Windows 7/8/8.1

Thanks for the info. folks can either keep using the version they have, or switch to Free Office, Open Office, etc. The latter is very similar to MS Office, and since they're usually not up to date anyway, chances are they'll continue supporting 7 a long time.

25.2.4.3 is the current version of LibreOffice and is what I have in my Windows 7/10 dual boot machines.

If 25.8.x.x will not work in Windows 7, I will probably stick with the last version that does.
