Solved Live mail...Must I notify everyone?

I'm a bit confused by Microsoft's recent changes to email. Between friends and businesses, my email address (for example: [email protected]) is all over the place. Do I have to notify everyone of a new address, or will I be able to open mail sent to this original address by adding this account to Gmail or emClient?

Do both. Many will appreciate being informed as they email you at your old address. Remember that once the old address is retired by the ISP email server, no more email accepted or forwarded from the old email address.

If you're referring to the recent revelation that WLM will no longer be able to retrieve mail from outlook.com due to upcoming changes, then the answer is, yes, you will still be able to open emails sent to that address using a different email client. WLM is an email client, the server portion (outlook.com) is changing but your email address won't change.

The change should be completely transparent to those who send/receive email to/from you so there is no need to notify them of anything.
