Looking for a durable mouse and a temperature question

Hey guys, currently looking for a durable mouse, since my old one is getting broken due to a modding tool. A short backstory of it, more than a week ago, I reinstalled the C&C General series, and I use the worldbuilder for modifying the maps for the game, but the problem is that it's a mouse intensive software which means that I click a lot which leads to mouses getting broken. My current mouse sometimes doesn't respond when I click it or sometimes when I click it, it's like double clicking it, it's somewhat annoying sometimes, especially when I'm using the modding tool. So any suggestions on a new mouse or is there any way to fix the current one?


For the temperature question. I always thought that if I open my case, I would get cooler temperatures, so I did it but I was wrong, when my case is open, my hard drive temperatures is getting around 44~46 °C. A week ago, I left for an overnight, so I closed the case and after I came home the next day, I didn't remove the cover since I felt a bit lazy and due to the new position of the PC, but with that laziness, I noticed that my HD temperatures got cooler too, now I get 38~40 °C. My explanation why is the "open case" is not effective is that the heat is actually getting trapped since there's a CD/DVD reader above my hard drive and the heat is not being sucked out by the fan. So, any explanations why is that the open case is not effective at all (other than the dangers of dust)?

For a bullet proof mouse look at the Logitech G500 or the MS wireless mobile mouse 4000. Both offer all the control you could possibly need and have great driver support.

Case temps, case should be closed. Case fan(s) should circulate air through the case to keep interior temps under control. Sometimes the cabling well disrupt the air flow inside causing hot spots, one reason round cables are preferred over flat cables. Heatsinks on the cpu and gpu with fan to cool and fans moving air in and air out. You keep the interior dust free by using filters on your intake fans. A $15 roll of Samokleykin sticker filter material well last a lifetime, buy it and use it, cut it to fit your I/O plate and for the intake fans. If you don't mind spending the money the DEMCiflex magnetic filters are golden. After four months of my new machine running 24/7 with four intake fans I am completely dust free on the interior. I do have to wash the filters every week.

Well looking at the specs Rain it certainly has the minimum installed and as I don't know where the fans are situated it is hard to say what to do.

Are they noisy comes to mind - if so have a look at them for crud and or replace them with more efficient ones. The pre builts commonly use very cheap and cheerful materials and fans I am sorry to say are usually in that category.

Let us know what sizes there are so we could pick some out for you and please keep the case closed you are asking for pain in the hip pocket mate!!

PS I meant to add any fixes I do where the fans are suspect are either renewed or thoroughly cleaned, re lubricated, and the blades polished with a smoothing agent and anti static fluid.
