Looking for a pair of evga reference style 8800 ultra's

Been lookin everywhere for two good quality 8800 ultras; being my dream graphics card for AGES, im just looking for somewhere where I'd be able to find these or if anybody has any. Also I love the old windows messenger or AOL look to this site, great you guys have been keeping it legit to this day, props

What he said, but I just looked and there is one working 8800 ultra and they want $95.00 for it.

Isn't the 8800 completely outdated? Or maybe I should mind my own business.

Its just got a lot of nostalgia to it, one of my friend's dad had one and I always wanted to get one myself, and no, he doesn't have it any more

(i wanna play like xp era games and early 7 games like at most star wars empire at war,even if it runs bad on the cards in sli lol)

The 8800 Ultra is already a PCI-e interface so a card of modern era now would be far, far better since they both share the same interface. It be different if you had an old computer that only had an AGP interface and wathed a few 6800's or something. But if your computer already has PCI-e ports, and you're just interested in playing old games, a GTX560TI will suffice quite well, and I bet those can be had for a decent price... I think.


I've read that SLI isn't all that's cracked up to be. I suppose the real benefit to SLI would be to just off load PhysX to one card and use the other for gaming. But I could be wrong. Where SLI would shine is cryptocurrency mining or hash cracking stuff.

BTW- Don't even try to buy a new GPU now. The Bitcoin mining craze has really jacked up the prices.

Oh i know man. I was just trynna find those specific cards, my gpu rn is a rx 580 8gb so im 100% set,just lookin to see if anybody would have any links to them for my childhood "dream" lol.
and i mean, i allready have a stove to cook my eggs and steak on,a fermi card would just be more energy hogging lol
