Trying to set up a Windows 7 Pro on an Hp Dv6 2155dx. I got another motherboard but the battery fell out of it and the BIOS info is gone. I can't use the keyboard at all, so there is no way to get into the BIOS. I did try to install Win 7 Pro anyway, but it only found the setup disc, started it, but could not do the install.

I downloaded the flash utility, loaded it onto a USB drive, booted, but the computer could not find it. I tried copying the flash utility to a CD, but only got a message that there was no bootable drive. Evidently it found the CD okay.

Okay folks. How do I get this beast's BIOS operational again. The motherboard came out of a working Dv6 2155dx, so the board is okay, but I can't access the BIOS.

I hope someone is still on board here and knows what I can do to get the laptop to load Windows.

Thanks for your award winning solution! :-)
