I am testing Macrium Reflect for a client and so far have had a great working incremental and full backup set going for the last 5 days. I love the ease of setup and the fact that I can do anything by editing the VBScript files.
I know several of our longstanding members use Macrium, so I thought I'd pose an interesting issue to you...
In testing the Linux Resore CD; I boot successfully, and can enter the location to choose the network share where the images are located but I cannot see any of my windows shares.
I am familiar with Windows networking since the 95 days. I understand UNC's. I run a Homegroup and a Workgroup, I can see and create shares anytime on any machine in Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 9x... All my shared folders work fine in Windows now!
But I cannot access the shares using the Linux Rescue CD I created! Is the WinPE boot disk a better option for a Windows based network and shares? I cannot test the WinPE boot cd unless I buy a copy of this but I have to either get it to work, or know how to make it work when it comes to this client!
Any help or suggestions welcome!
