I moved my wife's outlook 2007 PST and account information to a new PC. Both old and new PC are windows 7. I moved the account data to the new PC using registery keys.
her email folder structure and old emails are all in place on the new PC as they were on the old pc and her email accounts are in place
The problem is that when we send and receive email the inboxes do not populate with new mail. We do see in the progress bar at the bottom that emails are being downloaded. But I can not see where they are going.
Any ideas?
Did you do a fresh install of Outlook 2007 in the new computer. Then you should have set up the email account/s by using the settings in Outlook so they were identical to the old computer. Fiddling with Registry settings is not an advisable way to do it & usually results in problems.
Once you have the account settings working you can then transfer the .pst files etc. over & this should get you up to date with emails.
