Metal Over VGA Port?

Currently working on a freinds computer and there seems to be a piece of steel covering the VGA port?

How do I go about removing this so we can use a standard monitor?

At a guess, you don't. I think it's a blank.

If you'd list the PC's make & model, someone may be able to verify whether it includes onboard video.

Video card...it has one doesn't it? The piece of metal over the port usually means the port doesn't work or do anything.
