Okay, I'm running Win7 Pro SP1, but I've killed gwx and uninstalled the three Windows Updates associated with the "Get Windows 10" crap. There's no way in hell that I'm upgrading to Win 10 until they fix ALL the security holes and the like, which I do not expect to happen soon.
Earlier this morning, I was notified that there were two Windows Updates waiting to be installed. I examined them and they were both driver updates, one for my Samsung phone USB and one for my nVidia graphics card. I disabled the nVidia driver update and let it install the Samsung-related driver update. In other words, I approved of only ONE update.
But when it was finished, it said TWO updates had failed, and when I went to look at the failure messages, to my horror one read:
HOW DARE THEY!
It never even suggested that it was about to install Windows 10, let alone ask for permission!
This is INTOLERABLE!
Can anyone explain this? And by the way, folks, look out for secret, forced updates to Windows 10 being thrust down your throat without your consent or knowledge!!
