Microsoft Office Document Imaging Writer

In Windows XP and Windows Vista 32 bit I when I installed MSO 2003 a Microsoft Office Document Imaging Writer was installed as a virtual printer and was visible in my Contral Panel Printers folder. This was handy as a printer for files for later printing as described at the link below. In Windows 7 64 bit I cannot get Microsoft Office Document Imaging Writer to install as a printer although Microsoft Office Document Imaging does install and work as a program available to open view and scan files.
A solution is suggested in the article at the link below but it does not seem to work. does anyone here have a workaround for this issue?

After reading your post I check to see if the same problem exist on my system; it doesn't. Looked up your problem on MS Office forums and couldn't find anything there either. Wish I could help. Have you attempted to repair the installation, or check to see if you can reinstall office; if you attempt a reinstall check the office tools to see if this has been checked off. Good luck.

MSO 2003 triggers a warning from UAC

The Microsoft Document Imaging program (part of the"Tools") in MSO 2003 triggers a warning from UAC in W7 64 bit when I try to launch it. UAC claims that "the program is try to make changes to my computer" Is there any way short of shutting UAC off to stop this from happening? None of my other programs cause this to happen.

You can turn UAC off my going into "User Accounts" in the control panel. Then go to "Change User Account Control settings" to turn it off. Not a good idea, however, it helps then ensure you monitor any incoming material from the internet very closely. Good Luck.

I know how to turn UAC off. My question is why is MODI the only program that causes UAC to warn of an impending change and how can I stop this from happening without turning UAC off?

Right click on MODI icon go to Properties and under Compatibility Tab check where Run as administrator is checked

Thanks but I already checked that. I get the same result when "run as administrator" is checked or unchecked.
