At the beginning of every month since June 2018, I've been getting BSOD after attempting to install Microsoft recommended updates - typically the Security Monthly Quality Rollup and Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework which come out monthly. For example, I have had 9 failed attempts for installing these three recently.
(1) 2018-12 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based systems (KB4483187) [52.8 MB]
(2) 2018-12 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB4471987) [23.1 MB]
(3) 2018-12 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4471318) [240.2 MB]
I ran MEMTEST86 on my RAM yesterday and it passed all tests 100%.
I downloaded NirSoft BlueScreen View and examined the same dmp files that I am uploading. I believe ntoskrnl.exe is always running during the boot and it is always present. The other driver or drivers running at the same time are totally random. The one thing that stood out to me in all cases was that the Size of the address for the bad drivers is way too long.
For example, in the most recent crash, ctxusbm.sys is 0x0000006300026000 and nwifi.sys is 0x000003e800054000 (18 characters) while ntoskrnl.exe is 0x005dd000 (like all the other drivers is 10 characters long).
For past 6 months, randomly the files will eventually install correctly after a number of BSOD crashes. Sometimes I will run Malwarebytes and CC Cleaner and disconnect all my attached peripherals (bunch of USB 3.0 hard drives).
Thank you in advance for any help with this irritating problem.
