Most programs I have stop working/responding on run

When I run certain programs (skype, and DUC no-ip) after it loads it gets an error saying it stopped working and stopped responding. This only happened recently, and out of no where. I never did a recent microsoft updates or system update. It all happened over night. It was fine yesterday. When I run the program I get the not responding prompt like this one below:

Can anyone tell me certain options that I can go about fixing this? It is crucial that to me that I am able to use no-ip and skype again without these problems. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks again!

Do you have a System Restore point from before the problem started?
