Please can someone help me!

I was in the middle of writing an essay and all of a sudden my mouse pointer has stopped working. I cannot do anything! I think it may be something to do with the AMD gaming driver software update? I have no idea why that's on my laptop in the first place but it's got a sign saying there is an update. I have tried rebooting and using the cursors to go into the control panel etc but nothing will open!

Please help

Hello Lisagascoigne. Welcome to the forum.

Try this:
Start (or restart) the PC, as soon as you see that first (Bios) screen come up start pressing the F8 key repeatedly. This should bring up the Advanced Boot Options window.

Use you keyboard to move down to select "Last Know Good Configuration" and the press ENTER.

See if that helps.
