Multiple programs crash on fresh Install, with "StackHash" Error

My mother was having problems with her computer at work and we decided to do a fresh install of Windows 7. Now, multiple programs, including Windows Explorer, are crashing with a "StackHash" error and I don't know what that means. Attached is the picture of the error when I right-click Computer and go to Properties. I can't even preview this screenshot because the Preview program crashes. I'm also having the same problem on multiple other programs. Is it perhaps a bad hard drive, RAM, or graphics card?
