Solved my administrator account has been renamed and I cannot login

Hi - this is a weird issue ...

I have an administrator account named hp_admin.

Today, when I tried to log in to that account, nothing happened.

There was no error message, and the login window just refreshed.

I tried to login many times, but same result.

Rebooted, same result.

My other but limited account still works OK.

I checked the profile folders, and found that what should be hp_admin has is named TB_admin.

I recall that when I setup the laptop the was initially TB_admin, and I later renamed it. But it has worked just fine for 2 years!

And how to I fix this weired issue???

BTW - I find that if I callup cmd.exe, I can run as admin, and dialog shows hp_admin, and the password works - but I cannot log into that account, either at startup or switch user.

I enabled the default Win7 Administrator, and logged in wuth that account.

I then switched user, and tried to login to my hp_admin account hp_admin but this time I accidentally put in the wrong password.

When I retried with the correct password ... this time it logged in OK.

Have disabled the Administrator, and hp_admin is working OK.

Mysterious!
