So today I was playing CS:GO and my fans revved to %100 speed and then my computer crashed. And when I tried to reboot, my monitor wouldn't detect my PC, I'm using DVI connection. I've fixed this issue before by restarting the monitor and PC in a certain sequence but I can't remember how and can't seem to do it again so any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Plugged into on-board graphics, and I can use my computer that way. This means it has to be something wrong with the graphics card.

When the fans rev to 100% and your computer shuts down you have a over heating problem. At least your system thinks it's over heating.

Please fill in your computers specs completely. We need to know what we are working with.

I don't have a full list, since I cannot access my computer, I will tell you I think it's the graphics card, because none of the other ports work (HDMI, VGA) and even if I use a different monitor, it doesn't work, I have a GTX 550 ti.

VladimirSD, I believe Layback Bear is correct. It sounds like your card overheated to the point where it no longer works at all. You should always have a utility with a card that will allow you to monitor card temps and let you create a custom fan profile to keep the temps down. Most of the programs also allow you to have an on screen display where you can see GPU temps and fan speed at all times. If you see it start to get too hot, shut the computer down and let it cool off before you burn your card up, as it sounds like you did. Most new cards come with such a utility, most of which are based on MSI Afterburner, which is basically an overclocking utility, but allows for on screen display and custom fan profiles. Use it for that and not overclocking.
