Hi,

I have this PC, from which i am making this thread. This PC dont usually reboots on its own. but when it does start rebooting it continously start rebooting and go crazy with it.

i mean when it starts rebooting, it will even shutdown when even windows is not started, you cant even go to bios settings. it just gets crazy and reboots again and again, and windows is like never gonna start...

But then it stops rebooting at some point and computer works perfectly fine.??

I know it seems crazy but i cant figure out the problem..

I have even checked the event log.
but it dosent show anything specific that what is wrong with it. only tells it restarted without a proper shutdown.??

Code:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

i have core i7 processor, and dx58so model motherboard.
4GB ram
2GB Nvidia Gfx card
750 Watt PowerSupply

and i have also updated the Bios incase if it is a Bios Problem but problem still persists?
i have installed the last latest bios for this mobo of intel.

i don't understand. Please can anyone tell me how can i find that why this rebooting is occuring.?

I am Attaching Screenshots. Please Review it.

Regards,
Syed Haider Hassan.

In this software i noticed something unusual, i mean somtimes the MHz is 1621 and sometimes it is 3378 ??

Ratio is sometimes x12 and sometimes goes to x25??

it happens to all 6 cores and coniuous changing the clock MHz and Ratio..

is my system going crazy or what??

you have 1 of 2 issues. number one is a power supply fault. or number 2 a fubar motherboard.

Theres no real test for either, but id start with the psu, borrow one off a mate or order a replacement and try it, if it works then send your old one off for RMA and flog it when you get a new one back.

if the issue still persists then its more than likely the motherboard, again only real test is a new one. theres a super slim chance its the front panel of your case or the power rest leads. this is easily tested by unplugging them and turning the pc on by touching the 2 pins together with a screw driver. wait to see if it happens, if it goes mental again then its back to psu or mobo.

what you noticed about the cpu is fine. its an intel design that lowers the speeds of the cores to consume less power. start a game or stress test it and it will shoot straight up to 3.4ghz.
