Need help | aero mouse cursor

It's white instead of grey and 3d looking... it looks like the XP mouse cursor. I change to other styles and back but it's still not working. The preview looks like the normal aero cursor.

nope, I've made some changes to it like background + color, but I switched to the default win7 aero theme and that didn't do it
