Solved Need to know how to: Change properties to .sfk file back to normal

The only method I know of to uninstall and re-install WMP is:

  1. Click the Start Menu.
  2. Type "Windows Features" (without quotes) into the Search programs and files box.
  3. Expand Media Features by pressing the + next to it (on the left).
  4. Uncheck the box next to Windows Media Player.
  5. Agree to turn off software that depends on Windows Media Player, as well.
  6. Agree to any other dialog boxes that may appear.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Type "Windows Features" (without quotes) into the Search programs and files box.
  9. Expand Media Features by pressing the + next to it (on the left).
  10. Put a check back in the box for Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player.
I believe you already tried that, though.

When I try and use SFC it just opens for a split second and closes.. And so does WMP. It's God damn hopeless it seems. And there is no way to uninstall the actual FILES THEMSELF

You will need to run SFC offline, then. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139810-sfc-scannow-run-command-prompt-boot.html

Make sure you find the correct drive that has the Windows directory on it; it will not be X:, but it could be C:, D:, E:, F:, or even G:. To find the drive letter containing your Windows directory, use the following commands within the command prompt that you will be running the offline scan in:
c:
dir
d:
dir
e:
dir
f:
dir
g:
dir
etc. until you see Windows listed.

Outside Windows, the drive structure is based on partitions rather than how Windows determine drive letters, which is why it is not necessarily C: containing the Windows directory.

WRITHZIDEN! I FIXED IT! Apparently I had an internal error with my .dll files! All I had to do is go in CMD and delete them, and re-create them with a console command! Thank you SO MUCH for using all your effort to help me (Dispite the fact none of your solutions worked, BUT NOT THE POINT!) I think it was sweet of you to try so hard to help me :) Thank you, and if I have another problem again, I will make sure to contact you :D

You're welcome. Glad you tracked down the issue.

Can you provide more specific steps as to how you deleted and re-created them? Especially the re-creating part...
