According to Netflix If and when Netflix addon is added to Windows 7 Media Center is up to Microsoft. Why is Microsoft so silent on this matter?

This is the only thing stopping me from testing Windows 7 on my HTPC. On the PC that I am testing on every other matter is a go.

This plugin is a must have for a HTPC. I Love it!

I'm using the Netflix beta player from Netflix. I get what looks like HD to me and it likes Windows 7. It's not integrated into MC7, but who cares? Not me,for sure.

Bye.

The Netflix player is a Microsoft player called Silverlight.

The good thing about Media Center integration is for home theater PCs. For the average person watching watching streamed TV and/or movies on their PC it doesn't matter much.

This Silverlight Netflix Player has more features than the Roku Box and like many others I am looking for total Media Center playability for all Streaming, Video, Movies, Blue Ray, DVD's, music, Cable, DirecTV, over the air programing, and photos. This to me (if done right) would be the ultimate HTPC. That includes Hulu and Vista Extenders like the DMA2100 also Microsoft.

This is what Microsoft (In my eyes) should be focused on in Windows 7. More and More people are turning to HTPC's and extenders (NOT JUST XBOX 360) for entertainment. WAKE UP MICROSOFT!

Don't know if it works in Win7 haven't tried. But this is a Netflix plugin, not the one from MS

Anthony Park :: 100% Geek Content by Volume » New Vista Media Center Plugin - MyNetflix (beta)

I started using this a couple of days ago. It does integrate the player into Media Center and is usable via the remote until you begin the movie. Then the remote loses focus and the player has to be controlled via the keyboard.

The Media Center functions do not work for this player with the exception of exiting Mediacenter via the Red"X". This is because MC is only opening the Player.
I use my zoom controls from the LCD to fill the screen in full screen mode and Keyboard control is fine. I do hope someone comes up with full inegration (at least for the WAF...)

Netflix said they were confident to have a solution to the picture quality issues some, like myself, are experiencing by the end of the year. It seems these issues are ISP and Internet Traffic related. My challenges are clarity. The stream is smooth but the picture is more like that of a poorly compressed dvd that eventually seems to clear up.
Most are getting the quality Crunchy is talking about.
