Networkin my 2 machines--wired

Sunday--
Made a new Gateway admin user, but it didn't become a user folder, so couldn't load on reboot. Deleted user, made a new one, same. They're in the Control Panel Users, but not in the filing system.

Ran sfc /scannow, it fixed corrupted files, and I have a CBS log of the past 4 hours tonight. Forum says the text is too long to post. May I email it to you? Looked over Hightail and Google Docs and I don't want to learn them.

Gateway users folder, not changed after sfc /scannow. PC-03 is my original user name.

Where are Default and DefaultUser, and does it matter?

I don't think the original OS was completely wiped, because I found 3 Windows.old folders. Am I ready for a repair install or should I toss it out the window? I'm totally disgusted with this.

Bottom line: I can't set up a new Admin user. That system is less than a week old, so I don't understand the bugs.

OK, I got the network working. A service in Services was toggled to "off

But on both machines, (Partition) Drive D contains all my data, and nether computer will let me access it. I can't put the whole drive into the Public folders.

The 2nd problem, not connected to networking, is that other users I create in Contril Panel>User Accounts still don't show up in "Users"
