New Graphics-card, second Monitor unable to run under Display Po

hello,


i recently upgraded my old Geforce 760 to a 1660.


the issue here is, that my new Graphics Card has one port for HDMI and 3 for Display, where my monoitors only have VGI/DVI/HDMI ports.


"no problem" i thought and bought an HDMI to Display Adapter.
but now, whatever monitor i conntect with the Adapter doesnt work/ doesn't get recognized by my PC.


are my monitors too old? (at least one ought to be not that old) is there anything i can do?


my monitors are:
Philips 224EL
Samsung S22D300
