Hello, Everyone I have a problem with my new homebuilt computer. I have the Gigabyte GTX 670 and now I ran into this problem  when I start a game like Minecraft I got like 400FPS but I get a weird pitched noise: Coil Whine on Asus GTX 670 Direct CU II 2GB GDDR5 - YouTube (like in this video) Is this normal or can something fix it ?

For now the only thing that seems to help is VSync

I get that noise when I run benchmarks with vsync off, 400fps is fast and certainly not needed. I always run games with Vsync on, it prevents screen tearing as the monitor can only handle 60FPS anyway.

I don't think the noise is anything to worry about, just your card working very fast pushing out 400fps that is not needed.

I suggest you keep Vsync on.

Paul.

Do those cards have "Adaptive Vsync"? I think that is what its called. I think it is suppose to be a more advanced, less limiting Vsync.
