Bottom line, it would improve performance a little. How much you'd notice is questionable.
But between it being IDE and on a Sata II controller, that's why your score is lower than others.
thats what i thought. so i guess if i upgraded to the new motherboard i want, which has SATA 6Gb/s connections, that would give me the full speed of the SSD.
The ASUS board you reference is a super upgrade from the MSI board in your system specs.
Wipe your SSD before you build the new system and make sure you set the BIOS for AHCI for your sata configuration. Windows 7 will set the SSD correctly for alignment.
I would also recommend that after you install the MB drivers and utilities from the included disc that you go to the ASUS website for the new board and look for driver updates, you will find some, so install the newest drivers.
